- 8 oz sliced mushrooms
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 can beef broth
- 1 pouch dry brown gravy mix
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons corn starch
- 4 tablespoons water
- fresh parsley (for garnish)
Beef Patties
- 2 lbs lean ground beef
- 2 eggs
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
- 3(ish) tablespoons milk
- 1 large clove garlic
- salt and pepper to taste
Combine all of the Beef Patties ingredients in a bowl. Shape into oval patties and brown on both sides over medium high heat in skillet.
Melt butter in small skillet and brown mushrooms.
Combine beef broth, gravy mix, ketchup, dijon and pour over patties. Add mushrooms. Cover and simmer on low heat for a minimum of 20 minutes.
Combine cornstarch and water. Remove beef patties from skillet, stir in cornstarch and water mixture until gravy thickens some. Add beef patties back into gravy to simmer a little longer.
Serve with mashed potatoes or rice and vegetable. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
